Mapu, a prominent spiritual leader, chief and musician of the Huni Kuin people, was born in the Kaxinawá Ashaninka Indigenous Land of Rio Breu. From a young age, he was chosen by his grandfather to follow the spiritual path, and today he acts as a political and spiritual representative of his people, being the founder and president of the Huwã Karu Yuxibu Center. Recognized nationally and internationally for his work in preserving the Huni Kuin cultural identity, as well as defending environmental preservation and the rights of indigenous peoples, Mapu is a renowned activist and prominent figure in high-profile events.

Additionally, as a musician, he has established a collaborative partnership with renowned electronic music producer in Brazil, DJ Alok. Through his work as a spiritual leader, Mapu is deeply committed to facilitating inner healing, which he believes is fundamental to humanity’s collective awakening.
