This event will be the launch of the Thank You Plant Medicine movement and a celebration based on gratitude.

The #ThankYouPlantMedicine movement was born in June 2019 to raise awareness of the healing properties of psychoactive medicines. The mission of the gratitude movement is to raise global awareness about the beneficial healing aspects of entheogenic plant medicines such as psilocybin mushrooms, ayahuasca, cannabis, peyote, huachuma, and iboga, as well as psychedelic-assisted therapy with MDMA and LSD, and the importance of integrating them into mainstream society, free from stigma and all forms of discrimination.

The viral gratitude campaign, being held on 20 February 2020 across the globe, is intended to draw the attention of the mainstream media. With its roots in Costa Rica, the main coming out event will be held at the country’s Envision Festival.

The original intention was for 100,000+ people to ‘come out’ on social media, worldwide, with their stories of personal healing and transformation, using the hashtag #ThankYouPlantMedicine.

There are now also dozens of in-person events being planned across the world and support for the movement is growing exponentially, with more and more members joining the movement’s FB group, and more and more people volunteering to help out, every day.

This movement was born as a response to the stigma in society about the use of psychoactive plants and therapy-assisted psychedelics. We dream of a world where these medicines are free from stigma and discrimination, for personal and collective healing.
